Relief for mom

Leg cramps
You may have leg cramps. These can be alleviated with firm massage and with stretching. Also, some midwives suggest that drinking a large glass of water before bed can help. The increasing weight of the uterus does affect the circulation to the lower extremities – as well as putting more demand on them in carrying additional cargo. Your calves, thighs or feet may cramp up and leave your leg feeling achy. Massage those tired legs, and put them up when you get the chance. Wear sensible, low-heeled shoes and supportive hosiery. Avoid elastic at the ankles or knees. Walk and move your legs regularly – a little stretching and light exercise may be helpful.
