Colic
Colic is a condition where your baby cries and gets little or no relief from normal comforting. It usually begins at two weeks of age and resolves by the time she is three months old. It is thought to be caused by gastrointestinal discomfort. A colicky baby often pulls their knees up to their chest, and looks like they are in pain.

What to do

If you think your baby has colic, see the health care provider to be sure that there is nothing serious about your child’s condition. If you are breastfeeding, your clinician may ask you to make dietary adjustments such as limiting mild and other dairy products which may be what is causing your baby’s colic. Your doctor may change your infant formula or try medications to relieve the colic. Infant massage may also be used as a comfort measure.
