Getting pregnant

  • The most fertile time of the month is just before or at ovulation, when an egg is released from a woman’s ovaries. Ovulation typically occurs on or around day 14 of a woman’s menstrual cycle.
  • Sperm can live inside a woman’s reproductive system for 48-72 hours and can fertilize an awaiting egg at any time during this period.
  • An average fertile woman has over 400 ovulations during her lifetime.
  • A single ejaculation of a fertile man contains millions of sperm.
