This is an important time in your life! While childbirth can be full of excitement and wonder, we also know it can be full of questions and confusion. We want to help you have a safe and fulfilling birth experience.

This area of our site called Choices in Childbirth especially for you to provide information on and answer questions about labor and birth and the options available to you. As you review this section, be sure to discuss any strong preferences you may have regarding childbirth with your clinician.

We suggest you use these pages to begin planning your special delivery. Once you have reviewed all of the sections, print and complete the forms and share your preferences with your clinician. Your clinician will discuss with you any circumstances that may require any alternative plans.

You are encouraged to attend prepared childbirth classes. The childbirth educator will review many of these topics with you. Take these pages with you to take notes and ask questions. Highlight areas you want to review at your next visit with your clinician.

Use this as a central place for everything related to your pregnancy and delivery that way you’ll always be prepared! Share information with those who will be with you during birth and also with clinicians and staff at your ob/gyn’s office.
