Did You Know?

• By day 25, the fetus’ single chamber heart starts to beat, and by day 28, the spinal column is completely closed.
• The eyelids, ears and mouth begin to form during month 2.
• Moms usually feel their first fetal movements around week 20 of their pregnancy.
• The sex of the fetus can usually be identified during month 5.
• During month 6, the fetus can hear and becomes startled at loud noises.
• By month 8, most babies, if born, would be able to breathe air without any problem.
