The Grafenberg spot
This small bean-shaped area inside the vagina was named after Dr. Grafenberg, the physician who discovered it. Referred to as the G-spot, it is located on the front wall of the vagina, about 1.5 to 2 inches above the introitus (external opening of the vagina). Some women state that this area is exquisitely sensitive and sexual stimulation causes swelling and hardening of these tissues. All women have a G-spot and it is easiest to find when sexually aroused. Not every woman finds the area extremely sensitive or pleasurable, however some say stimulation of this area along with the clitoris makes for more intense orgasms.

While medical science has studied female sexual response and orgasm, there have been no studies that have identified G-spot stimulation alone as a source of female orgasm.

Trying to find this hidden spot may add fun or frustration – most still find orgasm easiest with sufficient clitoral stimulation and a suitable partner.
