Sexual Health

Breastfeeding and sex
If you are breastfeeding, you may find that you experience decreased vaginal lubrication, even if you are fully aroused. This is a result of hormones, not mood. Drink extra fluids – 8 to 10 glasses of water daily. You may want to try more foreplay and/or the addition of a water-soluble lubricant.

If your breasts are full, they may letdown with orgasm and spray milk. This is due to the effects of the hormone, oxytocin, which is normally released during orgasm. If you want to avoid this, nurse or pump before sexual relations.
