Sexual Health

Did You Know?
  • Women who have had hysterectomies may find that their sex lives improve. A study of over 1,000 women who had hysterectomies found that a majority of them had more sex, less pain, and more frequent orgasms

  • The majority of sexually active teen girls are having sex with boys close to their own age. However, the girls with partners older by at least six years were more likely to get pregnant and carry the baby to term.

  • People who underwent small-group educational training on how to avoid risky sexual behaviors used condoms more frequently and had unprotected sex less frequently.

  • A new survey of over 3000 people has shown that many Americans have sexual dysfunction (which means they have trouble in some aspect of their sex life). Stress, poverty, substance abuse or traumatic sexual events are contributing factors to sexual dysfunction.
