Menstruation
Physical signs of increased fertility
Cervical Mucus Changes
During the menstrual cycle mucus is discharged from the cervix. Its consistency varies from, thick and stringy to thin and watery. During the period around ovulation, cervical mucus is thin, watery and elastic in texture.
Basal Body Temperature
During the period after ovulation the body’s temperature becomes slightly elevated and stays that way through the remainder of the menstrual cycle. You are most fertile the few days before the temperature rise. The basal body temperature rise is very subtle. You will need a special thermometer that measures fractions of degrees as well as a special chart to follow your basal body temperature over the menstrual cycle.
