Infertility

What It's About
Infertility is a term used to describe the inability of a couple to conceive a pregnancy despite one year of unprotected, well-timed intercourse. Most couples assume that conception will occur easily and automatically once they stop using birth control. However, conception is not so easy for some. This is especially true for those attempting to begin a family after age 35 and later in life. Infertility can have devastating emotional, physical and financial effects on couples – but it’s important to know that there is help.

Infertility therapies and treatments are constantly improving and couples are slowly becoming more informed about this disease. Continued education, along with proactive steps to care and skilled health care providers can all lead to successful, healthy pregnancies for most infertile couples.
