Dr. Bourque attended Holy Cross College, where he received his undergraduate degree in 1973. He earned his medical degree from the University of Connecticut Medical School in 1977, then completed his obstetrics and gynecology residency training at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center. Dr. Bourque is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and by the American Council for Gynecologic Endoscopy.
