Miwako graduated from Syracuse University in 1988 with a bachelor's degree in nursing. She then received her master's degree in nurse-midwifery in 1992 from Columbia University. She has worked with CCOG since 1992. She lives with her husband Tom and two children, Hanako and Michio, who were delivered at Bristol Hospital into the loving hands of CCOG midwives.
