Dr. Irons received her undergraduate degree from West Virginia University in 1980. She then earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia in 1989, then completed her master's degree in education of the hearing impaired from the University of Tennessee. Dr. Irons completed her obstetrics and gynecology internship in 1990 and residency training in 1993 at the Medical College of Virginia.
Specializing in obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Irons is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology. She began practicing at Middlesex Obstetrical & Gynecological Associates in 1997.
Dr. Irons is fluent in American Sign Language.
