Dr. Mitchell attended Fairfield University, where he received his undergraduate degree. He earned his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine, the completed his obstetrics and gynecology residency training at the University of Connecticut Health Center.
Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Mitchell has a special interest in Colposcopy and Cancer Prevention. His professional affiliations include the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, Fairfield County Medical Association, American Medical Association, and the American Society of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology. He is the Chairman of IPA-PHS and of the peer review committee at Danbury Hospital.
Dr. Mitchell has been practicing with Candlewood Center for Women's Health since 1981.
